Well-being starts here.
Aerial Yoga was developed in 2006/2007 in New York. It is a delightful combination of yoga and body control exercises. A large fabric, the hammock, allows you to experience the movements in the air. Aerial yoga is suitable for almost everyone, there are options of movements and everyone chooses their own. Air yoga combines traditional yoga practice with aerial acrobatics, creating a versatile fitness workout for the whole body. The exercise calms you down, increases mobility, develops body control and feels good.
Air yoga fabric, hammock, allows a new dimension of movement. Different assisted movements with the fabric give more range of motion and focus the movement in a different way to floor exercise. In aerial yoga, you detach yourself from the floor on the fabric and perform upside-down movements (there is always the option to do the movement supported by the floor). These inversion exercises relax and stretch the spine effectively but gently.
Come to class in clean clothes.
Take off sharp jewellery, watches and glasses and make sure your clothes have no zips. Tie your long hair up.
In children's aerial yoga, they learn body control, tricks, strength, flexibility and how to relax inside the fabric, without forgetting the joy of movement.
Aerial yoga is suitable for almost all fitness enthusiasts, even after a long break from exercise. If you suffer from heart problems, you can take part in classes, but it is best not to do inversion movements.
If you have pain or other problems with head-down posture (e.g. eye pressure, postural vertigo, epilepsy), you should first try it out to see if it is suitable for you. Aerial yoga is not suitable for pregnant women.
For LadyLine customers, free yoga is included in the range of services.
If you are not a LadyLine customer, you can join the class for a one-off fee:
The one-off fee includes an aerial yoga class plus other group exercise classes or use of the gym during the day. We recommend combining the Infrasauna with the Air Yoga. Start with an Air Yoga class followed by about 30 minutes of relaxing heat in the Infrasauna.
Sign up for the class when you arrive at the centre. There are 15 places available for free yoga and they are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Want to book a private lesson for individual or group guidance? We also offer free yoga as an on-demand class.
